I rescued a 3 year old dog from the local shelter 2 years ago and named her Ruby. It turns out that she is mildly epileptic, and has had seizures every few months since we’ve taken her in. 3 months ago, we took her to the vet and got a new heartworm preventative in the form of a 6 month shot. This medicine had obvious adverse effects as the same day as she received the shot, she had a seizure. Then she had another seizure 5 days later. Then 2 more, both 7 days apart. The sudden increase in consistency was very frightening. I love my dogs like my children, so my immediate fear was that the vet was gonna put her on canine seizure medication which, when started, cannot be stopped due to severe adverse effects. It’s also VERY expensive. So before taking that life-changing step, I decided to try CBD.
